Youth Community Outreach (Level 1)

For youth passionate about social justice – the chance to connect with peers from various backgrounds and perspectives and work as one to make a positive impact on the community. The program empowers youth to have a voice, build their confidence and discover their potential. This youth-led group allows participants to work together encouraging awareness, connection and action within the community. Through community-based projects and activity-based learning, participants will enhance their leadership skills. Youth Community Outreach fosters opportunities to collaborate on initiatives and participate in learning opportunities that support and improve social well-being in the community. Youth will obtain volunteer hours for their active participation and commitment in their project led events.

Program Outcomes

Throughout participation in Youth Community Outreach youth will:

  1. Gain a powerful sense of self, responsibility, and personal potential.
  2. Develop and improve key leadership skills increasing a sense of purpose and future.
  3. Build a sense of belonging and connection fostering health, well-being, and strong communities.
  4. Develop an understanding of their role as leaders in their communities planning and facilitating projects and events.
  5. Obtain a better understanding of their personal and professional goals and how to achieve them.
