Registered Programs
Registered programs focus on building skills, confidence and fitness over successive weeks with a Certified YMCA Instructor. Learn and practise all of the elements needed to enjoy and improve a sport or activity by committing to a regular and recurring sessions. Each time there will be a warm-up, some skill building, time to practise and apply new skills and individual coaching to improve proficiency.
Baby and Me Yoga
This unique yoga class will take you and your baby through a series of gentle yoga poses and stretches suitable for postpartum bodies. Encouraging babies and parents to come together and bond over shared experiences of motherhood/ parenthood in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
Child Minding
YMCA Child Minding makes it possible for families with babies or young children to come to the YMCA of Oakville. We care for young children in a safe, welcoming play space while parents or caregivers work out at the Y.
Digital Art Lessons
Embark on a creative journey with our Digital Art Lessons designed to inspire and cultivate a love for the arts. In a safe, enjoyable, and inclusive environment, participants will explore 2D/3D Graphics, Video Games, and more. Sessions on Fridays.
All equipment (state of the art) provided for use (iPad Air, Apple Pencil 2.0, Procreate Art App). The teacher will be providing instruction and activities. Participants will receive a digital copy of their work, as well as the Canvas timelapse of their process.

Martial Arts
Jiu-Jitsu is many things to many individuals. It is self defence, and a recreational activity for both young and old who wish to practise the art for personal enjoyment and security. If one wishes to become involved in the art known as Jiu-Jitsu it will benefit in numerous ways: Increased Focus, Street Defence, Flexibility, Physical Fitness, Self Confidence, Self-Discipline, Pure enjoyment.
The Taekwondo recreational program is designed specifically for youth ages 7 years and up as well as adults. The focus is to instill confidence, self-discipline and self-esteem through the teaching of Taekwondo by providing a positive, fun and friendly environment.
Music Circle
Music Circle is a fun, engaging, and inclusive activity where children gather to explore music through singing, playing instruments, movement, and creative expression with their parent(s).
It provides a joyful space for kids to discover the magic of music together while fostering creativity, learning and connection. Songs, rhythmic games, and movement activities are combined to create a playful and interactive experience.
Y Basketball (Bball) Skills
Participants will develop the fundamental skills of basketball, including dribbling, passing, shooting and defense strategy, to combine their play in full court games. YMCA instructors will educate players about rules and etiquette while encouraging teamwork and fitness competencies needed to play the sport.
Y Soccer Skills
Participants will develop the fundamental skills of soccer, including dribbling, passing, shooting and defense strategy, to combine their play in games. YMCA instructors will educate players about rules and etiquette while encouraging teamwork and fitness competencies needed to play the sport.
Y Volleyball Skills
Participants will learn fundamental skills such as: serving, passing, setting, spiking, court awareness and strategy, and will apply these skills in fun games. YMCA instructors will teach players about rules and etiquette while encouraging teamwork and building the fitness needed to play the sport.
