The YMCA of Oakville has implemented two new child care policies to meet the requirements outlined in the Child Care and Early Years Act.  The following policies are effective September 1, 2017.  Our Child Care Family Handbook is in the process of being revised to include this information and will be available on our website by January 1, 2018.  We will also have a number of copies of our Family Handbook at each child care centre.

The following two child care policies have been revised and a copy is available upon request:

  1. Family Partnership and Parent Concern Policy
  2. Emergency Management Policy

Emergency Management Policy

In the unlikely event of an emergency situation such as a lock-down, hold and secure, or evacuation of program participants at YMCA of Oakville locations, the YMCA has established procedures in place to ensure the safety of everyone.  In the event of an emergency situation that does not involve evacuation, families will be notified at the point of pick up.  In the event of an evacuation, all efforts will be made to notify families by telephone.
