What does the air quality and extreme heat mean for summer day camps?2024-02-22T14:12:03-05:00

Our Summer Day Camp programs take place outdoors, and most of our camps encourage physical activity unless otherwise stated.

This means that not all of our locations have access to indoor spaces or air conditioning. This is especially important to note for our Bronte, and Valens locations, where we use outdoor shelters during inclement weather. These locations have no access to indoor facilities or air conditioning.

On days when we experience extreme heat and/or poor air quality, staff will ensure participants are in shaded areas, have access to water and participate in low intensity games and activities. If your child has pre-existing medical conditions, we encourage you to follow the advice of Public Health and/or your family physician regarding the decision to keep your child at home on these days.

Click here to view the Air Quality Index for Ontario for more information about air quality in the Halton-Hamilton area.

How do I complete a photo/video waiver for my camper?2024-03-05T16:53:44-05:00
