Strategic Plan 2022-25: Choices and New Directions

The YMCA was established over 160 years ago as a charity dedicated to connecting people and building health and well-being for all .

As one of Canada’s oldest charities, serving people of all ages and at every stage of life, the YMCA offers charitable, financial assistance to anyone who is unable to afford fees.

Over 1,000 communities served and counting

Today, there are 37 member associations and five YMCA-YWCAs in Canada that offer programs and services tailored to each community’s needs. Together, they serve more than two million people in over 1,000 communities across Canada—and they keep growing.

All Associations are members of YMCA Canada, which works to strengthen associations and advocates on their behalf, regionally, nationally and internationally.
