Please note that our Summer Day Camp programs primarily take place outdoors, and most locations promote physical activity, unless otherwise specified. As such, not all sites have access to indoor spaces or air conditioning.

This is especially important for families registered at our Valens location, where programming is held under outdoor shelters during inclement weather. There are no indoor facilities or air conditioning at this site.

On days with extreme heat or poor air quality, our staff closely monitor the Air Quality Health Index and make adjustments to ensure camper safety. This includes:

  • Relocating activities to shaded areas
  • Encouraging frequent water breaks
  • Modifying games to be low-intensity and heat-appropriate

If your child has pre-existing medical conditions, please consult Public Health or your family physician for guidance on whether to send your child to camp during these conditions.
