Rusty
Rusty will be returning as Camp Administrator. Our campers will be in good hands with Rusty just by looking at her extensive experience. She has been a Camp Counsellor last year and delivered endless fun with high energy day in and day out. Rusty has also been a Program Support Staff and worked at Membership Services for an additional year. If you’ve visited the YMCA of Oakville, you may have seen her friendly face behind the front desk, welcoming each and every member that walks in.
Rusty is a recent graduate from Brock University; yes, we have another Brock Badger Alumni! Her degree is in Kinesiology, it’s only fitting, as she is passionate about the movements of the human body. Rusty has grown up playing soccer and continues to hold a special place in her heart for the sport; this degree goes hand in hand with her love for the game! Next time you see Rusty, give her a big “Congratulations!” for such a great accomplishment.
Rusty’s favourite thing about camp is Freezie Fridays. Friday’s seem to be a common theme among this staff. Her other favourite activity is the Campers vs. Counsellors’ Soccer Match. Is this so much of a surprise, given that it’s her favourite sport? Our campers better tie up their laces, because Rusty will be showing them a few tricks!
As this camp season nears, Rusty says she is most excited to meet all the new campers and see some familiar faces. For the new campers arriving, you may not know this, but Rusty has actually been in a Dove ad in a magazine. Shall we add “model” to her resume?
