Coco
Drum roll, please! Introducing Coco, our Inclusion Director for all campsites. She plans to teach everyone what it means to be inclusive.
This will be Coco’s third year working with the YMCA. Not only has she been a Camp Counsellor, but she has also been an Enhanced Support staff member. She has extensive knowledge to help teach others important YMCA values.
Coco also notes that one of her favourite things about camp is Theme Day! Not limited to Special Event Fridays, Coco says “I love all the different activities that take place and seeing campers and staff come together and enjoy themselves. I also enjoy being able to see the creativity from all the costumes that campers and staff come to camp in.”
Theme day is generally something that is a favourite memory for staff, as well as campers. It is a time when campers and staff can express themselves freely.
This year, Coco is excited about making new memories with campers and providing them with an experience they will remember. Camp is a place where good memories are created in everyone and is something that our staff has had the privilege to experience and strive to translate into each camper. Whether it’s from the activities they do or the theme days, there is a memorable moment for everyone!
