This four week session introduces youth to the sport of indoor rock climbing, where participants have an opportunity to build and improve on climbing technique, learning about grips, footwork and movement on the wall. Skills are developed and practiced through climbing activities and games with a focus on teamwork and fun that increase balance, flexibility and physical confidence.
In addition to the above, our 9-11 class introduces proper belay techniques and the level of care and communication required to safely belay a climber. Our 12+ class allows participants to demonstrate and practice belaying in a safe environment under the direct supervision of an instructor.
