Last year, 424 YMCA volunteers gave 9,669 hours of their time, talents and compassion to help people learn, grow, and thrive, right here in our community.
Volunteers make a significant contribution and you can too by volunteering with the YMCA.
There are many types of volunteer roles across our Association. Whether supporting our programs and events or providing expertise and leadership, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whatever your talents, interests, or schedule, there is an opportunity for you to give back through the YMCA.
Volunteering is open to people age 14 and up.
If you’re interested in a volunteer role with the YMCA, we invite you to apply today.
- Please complete the Volunteer Application Form and print or save it to your computer. You may then take your application to the front desk at the Peter Gilgan Family YMCA branch you would like to volunteer at or email it directly to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Your application will be reviewed for available volunteer opportunities matching your interests and skills.
- You will be contacted to set up an interview time at a time convenient for you. Please bring your references and a recent Criminal Reference Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening completed (CRCVS) to your interview, as well as any pertinent certificates relating to courses, skills, or experience. Please note that a recent CRCVS is required before any volunteering can commence.
